Granato is the
result of a mixture of non porous synthetic and homogeneous materials that when united and heat postcured acquires
special characteristic of hardness, resistance to impacts, heat, stripes, ultraviolet rays, chemicals and acids
among others, The result is a material that seems stone and its worked as wood, with the same tools with which
this one is transformed.
The
grains that confer the appearance to this product,
go through the whole surface in a homogeneous way, what allows to unite sheet with sheet
in all the directions, with totally imperceptible ties.

FIELDS
 Granato is an ideal material for veneers and kitchen tables, bathrooms,
laboratory, attention counters, tables, desk covers, open office panels and a thousand
more utilities.

The Granato sheets come in different thickness,
dimensions and colors.
• 12.7 mm Sheets , 0.76 or 0.90 wide x 3.68 long (21 Kg/m2).
• 6
mm Sheets , 0.76 or 0.90
wide x 2.40
long (7 Kg/m2).
FINISHES
Mate,
Shine and Brilliant.
From the factory the product has a mate finishes. Another finishes type
should be specified to the
transformer.
The
brilliat finishes requires bigger care and maintenance. We Recomend a dull and shine
finishes for kitchen tables and high use
food counters.
The
color between sheet and sheet can vary slightly.
TRANSPORT AND
MANIPULATION
Granato sheets must be manipulated carefully, they are delivered correctly
packed and protected, once
received,
it's quality must be verified, if it is broken, fissured or overflowed, you must
notify immediately to the transport company.
STORAGE
It
is recommended to store the sheets, without the packing protection, in horizontal way,
never vertical, placing cardboards between
the sheets to avoid possible scratches.
MAINTENANCE
Granato
can last unalterable in the time, carrying out periodically a quite simple maintenance ,
similar to polishing a fine wooden piece of furniture or a silver piece. See Maintenance

transform and install the surfaces.

ANSI norms (American National Standards lnstitute),ASTM (American Society for
Testing and Materials) and NEMA,
that rules for materials like the
solid surface are:

Density
The
density refers to the mass of the material by volume unit , measure in gr/cm3. For Granato
it is
1,72 g/cm3, what is equal to 24,87 kg/M2. |

Hardness
 The
hardness is measured in the
Barcol scale, internationally accepted for this class of materials, Granato
presents a hardness that oscillates between 55 and 58 Barcol, being this, one of the
characteristics that makes it machinable. |

Water
absortion
It refers to the weight gained by the material when
submerged for a specific time in water . Granato is a homogeneous material, porosity
lacking, its water absorption degree is 0,02% in weight when it is submerged during 24
hours, thus leading to a high humidity resistance . This property makes Granato an inorganic and aseptic material. |

Flame
retardant
Granato
is designed with fireproof preservatives that makes of this an auto extinguishable and
slow combustion product. A lit cigarette can be left until wasting away, only leaving a
superficial yellow color that can be retired easily as
explained in the repair manual.
Granato
can be dived in boiling water up to 65oC during 100 hours without showing bladders,
cracks, peelings or cracking in its surface. |

Impact
test on spherical fall
Granato
doesn't present effect to the impact test on spherical fall (1/2 pound, of solid plumb),
from 2,44M height, according to norm ANZI Z.125. |

Resistance
to microorganisms and bacterias
Granato
is an inert and not porous surface that doesn't allow bacteria growth, thats why it is
recommended for restaurants services , surgery rooms,laboratories, etc, doesn't house
microorganisms nucleus or polluting substances. |

Chemical
resistance
Granato
has been subjected to different tests, showing a good perfomance to the contact with
multiple chemical substances as naphtha, ethylic alcohol, amilo acetate, ammonia (watery
solution at 10%), citric acid (watery solution at 10%), urea at 6%, peroxide of hydrogen
(solution watery at 3%), sodium hypochlorite , toluene, ethyl acetate. Also, it can't be stained with hair dye,
polish, stamp tints and indelible marker. If a bleaching or opacity appears in the
surface, GranatoŽ is recoverable easily as explained in the recovery manual.
